Trisha Bell, CTRS
Recreational Therapist/Onboarding Trainer
Trisha graduated from East Carolina University with her Bachelors of Science degree in Recreational Therapy in 2021. Trisha was an active member in Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity and Recreational Therapy Student Society at East Carolina. Before graduation, Trisha took her skills from North Carolina to Fort Wayne to complete her internship working at New Leaf Recreation LLC, where she successfully passed her CTRS exam. Since, Trisha has been working on the Indiana Medicaid Waiver as a Recreational Therapist for New Leaf Recreation and is continuing to build her skills as a therapist and individual. In November of 2023, Trisha was internally promoted as an Onboarding Trainer. Alongside her duties as a recreational therapist, she also assists therapists new to New Leaf by reviewing their client paperwork and offering guidance and support when needed.
Trisha is a go-getter and ambitious individual who has a passion for helping others work towards achieving their goals. She enjoys being able to watch her clients grow and prosper over time as Recreational Therapy can be a lifelong service. Trisha is an inclusion and equal rights advocate and wants everyone to have a safe and welcome environment to be in and have opportunities to engage in various activities of their interest. Trisha is currently training Sadie (her goldendoodle pup) towards getting Canine Good Citizen certified-to which she will have the opportunity to bring Sadie around clients who are interested as an option for animal assisted therapy.
In her free time, Trisha enjoys reading, going to the lake, and spending time with her pups Maggie and Sadie, her boyfriend Trevor, and friends/family. Trisha is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys many sports such as softball/baseball, basketball, and football.
