Kristen Cunningham, CTRS

Kristen is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and interned at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, IL. She is also a Certified Dementia practitioner. Kristen was employed as a CTRS for 10 years at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, Indiana in their physical rehabilitation unit and was co-coordinator for the Stroke Support Group at the hospital for many years. She has 8 years’ experience working with children who had developmental disabilities in a functional skills school classroom and tutored students in math and reading. Her greatest joy when working with clients is encouraging them to try things they never experienced before and have smiles on their faces. She is a wife and mom to 2 wonderful girls. In her free time, she loves to do crafts, garden, spend time at the dunes and loves to watch IU basketball. She has a passion for animals and has 2 dogs which bring her much joy.
