Cassidy Honeycutt, CTRS

Recreational Therapist

Cassidy graduated from East Carolina University with her Bachelors of Science in Recreational Therapy in 2021. At East Carolina, she was a member of the Recreational Therapy Student Society. Before graduating, she completed her shadowing hours at various nursing homes before moving from North Carolina to Indiana, where she completed her internship with New Leaf Recreation LLC. Shortly after, she obtained her CTRS credentials and began working on the Indiana Medicaid waiver after graduation. Since, Cassidy has been working with New Leaf building her skill sets as a therapist and as an individual.

Cassidy has a passion for helping others be the best version of themselves and working towards their goals. She always wants her clients to feel accepted no matter what background that they come from. She loves to use her job to advocate for inclusion for all. One of her favorite parts about working on the on the waiver is that she gets to watch her clients grow and flourish over time and watch them achieve their goals as Recreational Therapy can be a lifelong service.

Cassidy is also very passionate about using the arts as a way for clients to express themselves and show who they really are. Growing up, she always used any form of art (drawing, music, etc.) to express herself and always wants clients to do the same.

In her free time, Cassidy enjoys traveling, listening to and playing music, watching Scooby Doo and Black & White TV, painting, trying new food, hiking, and spending time with her friends, family and her two dogs Gabby and Zara. An interesting fact about Cassidy is that she was adopted from a small town in Vietnam and brought to the United states as a baby.
