Behavior Consultant/Recreational Therapist

Allie graduated from Indiana Tech with her Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy in December of 2021. Ever since, she has been working for New Leaf providing recreational therapy services to clients in Fort Wayne. Allie has been apart of the New Leaf family since 2020, completing both her practicum and internship under her mentor, Lori Schweyer. During her time at Tech, she was a student athlete and played center back on the varsity women’s soccer team. After finishing her degree early at the young age of just turning 20, she still had athletic scholarship eligibility and took the opportunity to obtain her Master’s degree in Psychology and officially became a duel behavior consultant and recreational therapist in June 2023 at the age of 21. Due to being a young graduate-level scholar, Allie has had to blaze her own path and be a dedicated advocate for the individuals she serves, proving advocacy has no age. Guided by her personal values and drive, Allie is very passionate about helping her clients achieve independence and reach their goals!

In Allie’s personal life, she enjoys spending time with family, her boyfriend, and being a dog mom to her two frenchies: Millie & Maddox! Allie enjoys sporting different sneakers and keeping up with the latest trends. A sports lover at heart, Allie has decided to extend her professional knowledge into her sports world and will be a Mental Health Coach for the Indiana Tech Women’s soccer team in Fall 2023.
