Description
The Rivergreenway is a 26-mile network of paved, multi-use trails that follow the St. Joseph, St. Marys, and Maumee Rivers, forming the core of the city's extensive trail system. Designated a National Recreation Trail in 2009, it connects numerous parks, neighborhoods, and landmarks, including Shoaff Park, Promenade Park, and the Historic Old Fort. The trails are generally flat and well-maintained, making them suitable for individuals with mobility challenges. Accessible features such as trailheads, rest areas, and connections to public spaces enhance usability for people with disabilities. The Rivergreenway offers a safe, scenic environment for walking, wheeling, or cycling, supporting both physical activity and mental well-being for all users.
