Andrea Garcia, MA, ABA

Andrea graduated from Purdue University with her Bachelors of Science degree in Early Intervention in 2007. After graduating, she worked with Healthy Families at Mental Health America of NWI. Andrea has more than 10 years of experience working in the early intervention field through her work in various prevention programs. While working in early intervention, Andrea realized that her passion involved working directly with individuals and helping them manage behaviors. Andrea changed her career field and obtained a position working for the School City of Whiting where she worked in the elementary school collaborating with teachers and staff in developing behavior plans specifically tailored to meet the needs of students exhibiting challenging behaviors. She graduated in 2022 with her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis and started working at New Leaf Recreation, LLC in October of 2022.

Andrea has a passion for motivating and encouraging others to meet their full potential and enjoys watching her clients grow. She also believes in collaborating with all members of the team, including family members and servicing the individual as a whole.

During her free time, Andrea enjoys traveling, reading, crafting and spending time with her family! She is a mother of 3 boys and they keep her busy with their many extracurriculars!
